The SolarEdge Home Battery 48V is a DC-coupled battery with enhanced system performance, allowing more energy to be stored and used for on-grid and backup applications. The battery integrates seamlessly with the complete SolarEdge Home portfolio and is a scalable solution for increased power and capacity with multiple SolarEdge inverters (up to 3) and batteries (up to 23kWh per inverter).
The SolarEdge Home Battery 48V contains battery components composed of rechargeable lithium-ion cells. These products include sealed lithium-ion battery cells similar to those found in many consumer electronic products. The cells are individually hermetically sealed prismatic cells. Each of these cells contains lithium-ion electrodes and electrolyte. The cells and batteries do not contain metallic lithium. Individual cells have a nominal voltage of approximately 3.6V. The total weight is 54.7kg.
If the customer has an RWS inverter, they will need to purchase a different cable (from battery to inverter: AE02448). For every battery installation, the SolarEdge Inline Meter 1- or 3-phase must be used, possibly with an Enet plugin.
