Boiler vessels
A boiler vessel stores hot water for immediate use in the kitchen and bathroom. This storage vessel is made of stainless steel, as it is both lightweight and low-maintenance. A boiler vessel works in conjunction with a heat pump. This pump extracts heat from the air to heat the water and then stores the water in the boiler vessel. This is an environmentally friendly way of heating water. The boiler vessel contains a sensor that monitors the temperature of the vessel and sends signals to the heat pump. The water temperature in the boiler vessel is usually between 60 and 80 degrees Celsius to prevent legionella contamination.
The boiler vessel is best installed directly next to the heat pump, and in a hybrid solution, also as close as possible to the boiler. If the components are too far apart, the efficiency of the hot water boiler can decrease.
Advantages of boiler Vessels
With a boiler vessel, you always have hot water available, and the water can be used immediately for taps and showers.
What is the difference between a boiler vessel and a buffer vessel?
A boiler vessel and a buffer vessel are both storage Vessels for hot water, but they have different purposes. A boiler vessel stores hot water for use in the shower or kitchen. This is also known as domestic hot water. A buffer vessel is designed to store hot water for heating systems.
