Do solar panels work without WiFi?

A frequently asked question is whether solar panels need the internet to function. The answer is no; solar panels do not need WiFi to work. The energy yield of the panels can be read directly from the inverter. However, many customers (especially in times of high inflation) like to stay informed about the exact yield of their panels. For more detailed monitoring and reading performance in an app or monitoring platform, an internet connection is required.
