The SolarEdge Home Battery 48V is a DC-coupled battery with advanced system performance, designed to store and utilize more energy for both on-grid and backup applications. It seamlessly integrates with the complete SolarEdge Home product range and offers a scalable solution for increased power and capacity, supporting multiple SolarEdge inverters (up to 3) and batteries (up to 23kWh per inverter).
The SolarEdge Home Battery 48V includes battery components composed of rechargeable lithium-ion cells. These products feature sealed lithium-ion battery cells similar to those found in many consumer electronic products. The cells are individually hermetically sealed prismatic cells, each containing lithium-ion electrodes and electrolyte. Importantly, the cells and batteries do not contain metallic lithium. Individual cells operate at a nominal voltage of approximately 3.6V. The total weight per battery is 54.7kg.
For customers using an RWS inverter, a different cable (AE02448) is required for connecting the battery to the inverter. Additionally, every battery installation should incorporate the SolarEdge Inline Meter 1- or 3-phase, optionally with an Enet plugin.
